He might have played a clumsy and stuttering teenage in Transformers, but Shia LaBeouf proves he can be his own man as he joins Tom Hardy and Jason Clarke in Lawless. Together, the trio are the Bondurant Brothers, who bootleg through Virginia fending off cops and fighting off a growing mob empire.
The movie debuted at Cannes 2012, and while some critics give mixed reviews on the movie, most of them agree that the story behind the action tells more than what most audiences would expect. Of course, you'd have to watch the movie yourself before you can judge it.
The second trailer for Lawless had just debuted, and you can check it out in the player above. You can also watch the first trailer here, in case you missed it.
Lawless is the true story of the infamous Bondurant Brothers, three young rural bootleggers who become legendary criminals. The youngest brother, Jack (LaBeouf) is ambitious and impulsive, the middle brother, Howard (Jason Clarke), is loyal but reckless and eldest brother, Forrest (Hardy), leads the family with a silent determination. As the Bondurants‘ illicit business and legend grows, so too looms the danger of bigger fish, and it‘s not long before the brothers must face the consequences.
Lawless was directed by John Hillcoat and stars Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy, Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Guy Pearce, Gary Oldman, and Mia Wasikowska. The movie will hit theaters on August 29th.
