TV & FILM
bill-swift - September 23, 2014
I'll be honest here. I thought I had gotten sick of Seth Rogen & James Franco, just like I got sick of Vince Vaughn & Owen Wilson, or Will Ferrell & Everyone Will Ferrell Makes Movies With.
Then I heard they were making a movie called The Interview that got them denounced by North Korean despot Kim Jong-Un, and I thought any movie that gets denounced by Kim Jong-Un can't be that bad.
Now I've seen the unrated red band trailer for The Interview, and I am ready to admit that I was totally wrong. I am most definitely not sick of Rogen & Franco. Because this movie looks fantastic.
You really should watch the trailer for yourself, of course. But just in case you don't like going in to these things bling, here's what happens in a nutshell: Rogen & Franco work for what is basically a thinly veiled TMZ and yearn to do something more "meaningful" with their lives when, all of a sudden, they are granted an interview with Kim Jong-Un. So obviously they get asked to assassinate him by a preposterously hot CIA agent (Lizzy Caplan), at which point they agree and depart for the DPRK, where hilarity ensues.
Sounds pretty great, right?
The Interview hits theaters December 25, 2014.
