Jose Padilha is the man who has been trusted with the big money remake of the RoboCop series that's planned for release in 2013. But apparently all is not going too well behind the scenes, that's according to the director's friend Fernando Meirelles. The director behind City of God told the publication Cinemacom Rapadura that "I talked to Jose Padilha last week by phone. He will begin filming RoboCop (but) he is saying that it is the worst experience. For every ten ideas he has, nine are cut. Whatever he wants, he has to fight."
Doesn't sound too peachy does it? Fernando continued to stoke the fire adding, "'This is hell here,' he told me. 'The film will be good, but I never suffered so much and do not want to do it again.' He is bitter, but he's a fighter."
So is Jose just being a bit of a pansy? Or does he have a genuine reason for beef? It seems like all they need is a nice sit down and then they can talk through their problems. Anyway, if he thinks he's got it bad, here are 5 movie shoots that really were hell on earth.
