Review of ‘Transformers 4’ Trailer: Very Explody

The first trailer for Transformers: Age of Extinction is finally here, and as we've come to expect from these Michael Bay explodathons, it doesn't really make any sense. Somehow a decrepit Optimus Prime winds up in the garage of Mark Wahlberg. Then guys in black suits and earpieces show up, Stanley Tucci tells the autobots to get the hell out, a fleet of giant spaceships invades earth, and all of a sudden Optimus Prime is wrestling with a robot T-Rex. So yeah, no sense.

Here's the good news, though. Transformers 4 is now Shia LaBoef-free. He's been replaced by Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz, who plays his hot teenaged daughter. Then there's the aforementioned Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, and Titus Welliver, whom you may remember from every movie Ben Affleck has directed.

So my prediction? This is going to make a lot of money.

Transformers: Age of Extinction hits theaters June 27.
