With all the rumours circulating about whether or not Mischa Barton is leaving The O.C., it seems that we may have an explanation for her possible motivation: viewers like Rachel Bilson better than her. Results from a Sky Showbiz poll show that 60% or respondents said they liked Bilson better than Mischa Barton.

Despite being the less famous of the pair, Rachel came out on top of the Sky Showbiz Hot Or Not? poll - with 60%.

The pretty, dark-haired 25-year-old, who got her big break with The OC, is in good company as her on and off screen boyfriend, Adam Brody (who plays Seth), pipped Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan) to the post with 69% of the vote.

As far as the stars who play the impossibly glamorous parents in the series go, Melinda Clarke (Julie) is a tad more popular than Kelly Rowan (Kirsten) with 55%.

And hunky dad actor Peter Gallagher (Sandy) out phwoars Tate Donovan (Jimmy) with 74%.

Well, of course Rachel Bilson is more popular than Mischa Barton. Let's see, her character's smart, self-aware, confident, doesn't do drugs, isn't whiny (although can be awfully high-pitched at times), and has way better dialogue.

And then there's Rachel in real life. Well, we don't really know that much about Rachel Bilson's real life, but maybe that's the point. You really can't hate someone when you're not bombarded with tabloid stories about her. Plus, she's dating the guy that everyone likes (Adam Brody), and not some skeazy, dirty-haired "rocker" that creeps everyone out (Cisco Adler). Oh, and her dog is a normal size.
