Prep for ‘Creed II’ With This Hilarious ‘Rocky IV’ Honest Trailer (VIDEO)

If we're being honest, Creed II could very easily be called Rocky IV II, as the film is as much a follow-up to the third Rocky sequel as it is to 2015's Creed. The folks over at Screen Junkies have cranked out another great Honest Trailer, this one done up vintage style as if it were made in 1985 when the film was released.

There are some great zingers in here, as Rocky IV is one of the most ridiculous entries in the Rocky franchise. Dumb but a ton of fun is the best way to describe it. If you're looking for more hilarious commentary on Rocky IV, I suggest you check out We Hate Movies' episode on the film. Their thorough disdain for Pauly throughout the episode is among the funniest things I've heard.

Creed was, if nothing else, a more successful version of what Rocky V attempted to do in having the Italian Stallion pass the torch to the next generation, so to speak. Rocky Balboa is a perfectly fine movie, but you could easily go from Rocky IV to Creed in a marathon of the franchise and not miss much. I don't have particularly high hopes for Creed II if only because Creed was a tough act to follow. I feel that if we think of Creed II the way we think of Rocky II, we'll all have a much better appreciation of it.
