There’s a whole lot going on down PlayStation way just now. They’ve got their PS4 Pro to hype out the wazzoo, they’ve got PlayStation VR just about to hit, they’ve got Crash mothereffin’ Bandicoot to remaster (damn, those were some sexy platformers right there), they’ve got a snarky little dig or two to make about Xbox… a busy schedule whichever way you slice it. Â
Even while all that’s going on, mobile gaming is becoming a bigger and bigger deal. Pokémon Go’s on everyone’s damn smartphone (don’t deny it, Ego-friends, I see you there with your collection of Pidgeys and Ratattas), and that’s a gravy train lots of people in the industry want to get their butts aboard.
With all of that said, then, what Sony need to do is remind the world that dedicated gaming consoles are still a thing. Stage a big ol’ wang-waving PRtastic show, perhaps. How’s about PlayStation Experience 2016?
As can be ogled over at the PlayStation Forums, the event has been announced for December 3 and 4. This’ll be the third year of the Experience, and its third completely different venue. This one’s coming to the Anaheim Convention Center.
With all the leers up their collective skirt Sony have been giving us recently, I’m not sure what they’ll reveal that we haven’t already seen. Still, maybe they're sure to surprise us with something.
