Okay, maybe that's a little hyperbole, but it's still true. Peyton Manning was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week today, the 22nd time in his career and the most since the NFL starting handing out the awards in 1984.
Manning got it after leading the Broncos to that wild come from behind win on Monday Night, which in the process also tied him with Dan Marino for the most fourth quarter game winning drives with 47. So yeah, it looks like Peyton is doing just fine coming back from those multiple neck surgeries.
I did notice during that Monday night game that Manning never seems to throw a spiral. The guy is ridiculously accurate, yet can't throw a tight spiral. It's pretty amazing when you think about it. The NFC Offensive Player of the Week was Aaron Rodgers because he threw six touchdown passes to blow out Houston. No surprise there.
