Germany's Stephan Feck became an Internet sensation yesterday when his backflop video went viral. Feck was competing in the three-meter springboard event when he lost his grip on his leg and landed flat on his back, smacking the water as he went down. Ouch.

Feck eventually withdrew from the event. Trouble continued to befall the German team later when Matthias Steiner lost his balance during the Olympics weightlifting final--and dropped 432 pounds right on his neck! If you think Feck had it bad with his landing earlier, then this has got to be worse.

Thing is, Steiner took the gold medal for this event in Beijing four years ago, so people probably weren't expecting him to drop it this time around. Let's hope his injuries aren't of the serious kind.
