The holidays are a time for goodwill, generosity, eating/drinking too effing much and pretending you can stand the goddamn sight of much of your family. For forgetting any squabbles you may have, letting bygones be bygones, and generally all getting together in a big ol' love-in like hippies.
What is it not a time for? Nabbing a PS4-sized block of wood, carving a wang on it and hiding it in a PS4 box for some unfortunate soul to receive for Christmas, that's what.
This was the unfortunate fate that befell 9-year-old Scott Lundy, GameSpot reports. Opening up his spangly new Uncharted PS4 bundle on Christmas Day, he found instead ‘a piece of wood… with the message "from c**k and balls with love." There was also an image of those two things scribbled on the box.'
This was, natch, not quite what was ordered, so the family cruised over to the Massachusetts Target where they bought the ‘system.' The store tried to smooth the whole thing over with an actual, non-dick-defaced PS4 and $100 dollar gift card, but I still don't understand how in holy hell this happened.
And besides, there's no way of telling how screwed up Scott might have been by this. "He's crying and he's upset and he's in the playroom by himself and he just wants to be alone so at that point. I was crushed," his stepmother stated, so outraged that she lost the ability to speak in decent sentences.
