So that's one month of this spangly new year down. How did January treat you? I can't say 2016 is much of an improvement on 2015 so far, myself, but that's just me being the cynical old bastard I am.
One thing's clear, though. Microsoft and Sony started the year the way they mean to go on: by dropping the hype and competing over who has the best lineup for 2016. We've heard all kinds of ‘best year for Xbox ever' type talk, but, as I've said before, them's fightin' words. You've got to put your money where your mouth is.
Remember PlayStation's highlight reel of the best titles hitting PS4 in 2016? Xbox weren't going to stand for that for long. Here they are with their own teaser trailer.
They're taking it a little further this time, kicking off with some wang-waving and chest-beating about last year. Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider and such get a quick showcase, with critic blurbs about how awesome they are spread all over the damn screen:
Then we get into the real meat of it, with what's still to come. Quantum Break, Gears of War 4, Scalebound, Mirror's Edge: Catalyst… a lot of these aren't Xbox One exclusive, if we're being pernickety, but I guess we aren't supposed to notice that.
