Norm Macdonald stated in an interview that he doesn't think former SNL head writer Seth Meyers is funny and would have zero interest in doing his late night show, possibly because it would cut into his drinking and gambling time.

The comments came in response to Meyers saying he didn't think it was appropriate for Norm to discuss some backstage happenings from SNL's 40th anniversary show on The Howard Stern Show.

Eddie Murphy was reportedly supposed to do a Bill Cosby impression for a bit about his plethora of sexual assault accusations but declined, possibly because you don't want to throw stones when you're known for picking up male street walkers at the donut shop.

Usually this kind of thing is kept under wraps, but Norm Macdonald is going to do whatever the hell he wants including tell Stern some stories or put cheese on a fish sandwich. When he heard of Meyers disapproval he didn't seem especially concerned.

"I always think, 'What would Seth Meyers do?' If you really want to be really funny, then that's what you want to do. You want to think, 'What would make Seth Meyers laugh?' That's how I live my life."

That's what's known in the business as sarcasm. It's unclear why there's a rift between the two. They never worked together at SNL but could have possibly dated the same page girl. Perhaps Macdonald doesn't hang with dudes who can't drive a stick shift. There are plenty of shows on television these days. Cross one off the list.
