Phil Mushnick writes for the New York Post. For how much longer remains to be seen. Mushnick has never been one to shy away from provocative words in his columns, but check out what he wrote today, tucked in the middle of a bizzaro stream of consciousness. Take it away, Phil.

As long as the Nets are allowing Jay-Z to call their marketing shots — what a shock that he chose black and white as the new team colors to stress, as the Nets explained, their new "urban" home — why not have him apply the full Jay-Z treatment?

Why the Brooklyn Nets when they can be the New York N------s? The cheerleaders could be the Brooklyn B----hes or Hoes. Team logo? A 9 mm with hollow-tip shell casings strewn beneath. Wanna be Jay-Z hip? Then go all the way!

Oh. My. God.

What the hell is that? Mushnick must have literally had someone piss in his Cheerios this morning. How in the world can someone write that and think that it won't immediately lead to their firing?

I can't imagine that ol' Phil will be employed at the end of the day, but then again, I would imagine someone looks at what he writes before it gets published.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this all day.
