Now that Disney have officially dropped the "Wreck-It Ralph 2" from the title of their upcoming sequel Ralph Breaks the Internet, it seemed like a good time for them to release a new trailer and poster for the film.
We finally have a sense of the plot and main conflict for the film is, and it's a lot better than I was expecting. Sugar Rush, the racing game that's home to Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) gets unplugged at Litwak's Arcade when the joystick breaks. Vanellope calls on her friend Ralph (John C. Reilly) to help her go to the internet and get the piece to fix her game.
However, once Vanellope discovers a new and better racing game within the internet, she decides that she wants to stay, which is going to break Ralph's heart. It's far from original and probably won't be as good as the first film, but at least they're trying something different, unlike, say, Finding Dory, which basically just remade the first movie again.
I'm still not sure Wreck-It Ralph needed a sequel, but with the entire creative team back, plus all the voice talent from the first film—including a very noticeable Bill Hader cameo—it's got a fighting chance at being good.
Ralph Breaks the Internet starting on November 21.
