TV & FILM

If you're lucky enough to live near an IMAX theater, this weekend you can catch a special screening of the pilot episode for Marvel's latest television project, Inhumans. What's that, you ask? Well, it was originally announced as an MCU film to be released in 2018 or 2019, but then got shelved when the new brass at Marvel didn't like it.
All the while, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. series was setting up the characters from Inhumans to exist in their world which still remains at least tangentially connected to the MCU. So rather than being a film starring Vin Diesel as their leader, Black Bolt, now it's going to be a television series with Anson Mount playing Black Bolt. Upgrade?
Seriously, though, I kid Inhumans because it's supposedly the worst thing to ever be a part of the MCU. That's quite an achievement in a world where The Incredible Hulk is still considered canon. Seriously though, can't you retroactively make Ang Lee's Hulk part of the MCU just so I can have Sam Elliott back as Thunderbolt Ross? Bill Hurt's great and all, but Sam Elliott was born to play that role, and I'd be more inclined to believe whatever nonsense he'd be spouting about Accords and the like.
Anyway, watch the video just to hear the hilarious Eastern European accent of the producer.
