Following the final episode of the first season of Marvel and Netflix's The Defenders, a teaser was released for the next Marvel series to hit the streaming service, The Punisher. And the best news of all is that it's coming even sooner than we originally thought!
We all assumed that Defenders would be the last big Marvel and Netflix collaboration for 2017, but this new teaser confirms that Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle will be back dispensing justice before the end of the year. While all of Marvel's Netflix shows have had an edge to them that rests somewhere between PG-13 and R, this looks like it's gonna be their grittiest project yet. Let's be honest, no one wants a Punisher that's anything less than R-rated, and it appears as if they're gonna deliver.
While no official release date has been given, I suspect this will drop in mid-December, just in time for Christmas. After all, nothing says Happy Holidays quite like a madman going around and giving presents to the deserving. This looks seriously badass and I can't wait to see what Marvel and Netflix have in store for us!
