Who didn't wish that they could go to Hogwarts when they saw or read Harry Potter? I know I did. That's because the real world sucks ass. But, alas, there is no magic and there certainly isn't a magical British school for Witchcraft and Wizardry. That's because we live in the real world. BUT that hasn't stopped some American nerds from launching a Kickstarter to open a school of magic here in the U.S....sort of. They are present enough in reality to realize that the best they can do is LARP for a couple of days. Unlike the literary Hogwarts, this isn't for kids but rather adults that hate dealing with everyday life. The school, called New World Magischola, is not officially affiliated with Harry Potter or the Harry Potter World. In other words it's a cheap knock-off.
However, as of this writing they have raised $267,000. Yes, seriously. This is either the best scam I've ever heard of or there are a lot of lonely wannabee wizards out there.
