A little while back, we told how basketball superstar LeBron James was trying to get into the entertainment biz by developing a television comedy called Survivors Guilt. Remember that?
Well, that hasn't panned out yet, and now it seems his good buddy, Dwyane Wade, is going to beat him to the punch. Wade, veteran producer Mike Tollin (Smallville, One Tree Hill), and Sony Pictures Television have officially sold a half-hour comedy called Three the Hard Way.
According to Variety, the show was inspired by D-Wade's book, A Father First, which is about his life as a single dad. The show will thus tell the story of an NBA superstar named Daryl Wade and his "eccentric entourage," who apparently find themselves "parenting by committee" when Daryl gets full custody of his two sons.
Sounds hilarious, right?
Okay, well, it sounds amusing. However, if they wanted to be really true to life, they would have spelled the character's name Dyarl, not Daryl. But whatever.
