Natalie Portman Nude? Not Likely

If you're holding your breath until that moment that Natalie Portman finally appears nude on screen, you might want to take a minute and breathe in. Even though she came close to getting very naked in Closer, in an interview with the Sunday Times, Natalie Portman reveals that while she would, in fact, be happy to do a nude scene, she doesn't want those scenes to be plastered all over the Internet. Nudity? On the Internet? No way!

I think you're objectified whether you want to be or not -- as a public female. The magazine rankings of women, like they're cars or something -- if I could extricate myself from those, I would in a second. I guess some people would say, "Oh, she should be honoured. Maybe she's disgruntled. Maybe she wants to be No 1 and not No 25."

Not only that, I would be happy to do nudity in a film that was appropriate. But because it'll end up on a porn site, that's what keeps me from doing it. If a character goes through something that a woman goes through, then I'll play it.

So, what if a character goes through the experience of being in a nude scene which then ends up on an Internet porn site? Would that be okay? Or is that some kind of movie nudity paradox?

At any rate, the lesson we've all learned today? If you don't want naked pictures of yourself to end up on the Internet, the best thing to do is probably keep your clothes on. Case in point: Lindsay Lohan's nipple slip.

And check out Natalie Portman with seemingly red hair from her recent visit to Japan where she was promoting V for Vendetta. More pictures after the jump.

And yes, I do believe Natalie Portman is attempting to raise the roof. No word on whether or not it's on fire.
