In the aftermath of Nelson Mandela's death, pranksters and trolls immediately began posting pictures of actor Morgan Freeman onto Mandela tributes. Why? Partially to see how many posers would go along with it, and partially to piss people off. This is the Internet after all. But for the most part, everyone was in on the joke. But that doesn't seem to be the case with this Mandela tribute billboard in India which prominently features a picture of Freeman.
Cloth merchant Chandrashekhar, who paid for the board in a private capacity as a mark of respect to the former South African leader, said it was a mistake by the designer.
"We will replace it with the correct picture of Mandela," the merchant, who uses one name, told AFP by telephone from Chennai, adding that he did not know how the gaffe occurred.
The most likely explanation is that the designer was using Google Image Search, and Freeman, who played Mandela in the film Invictus, popped up. But however it happened, awesome. (Source)
