TV & FILM

You'd be forgiven for not knowing that the rescue of Michelle Pfeiffer's Janet van Dyne from the Quantum Realm was a plot line in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp because none of the advertising to date has focused on that subplot. She's had her own poster for a while, which you can check out below, but it wasn't until this new TV spot that we got a sense of what she's up to in the film.
The flashback scene wherein we first see Pfeiffer appears to have the same digital youth-inizing technique they applied to cunnilingus-related cancer survivor Michael Douglas in the first film, which shouldn't be too surprising considering there's precedent. However, what I wasn't expecting was how gorgeous her feathered hair was going to look on film. My goodness just look at it, it's beautiful! Feathered and lethal, you just don't see that nowadays.
Of course, I kid Michelle. She looks absolutely amazing, as always, but I do have one question. Why not get Amanda Seyfried to play younger JvD? She's a dead ringer for her, especially once you feather that hair. Hell, they could maybe get that long-overdue I Am Sam prequel going with her as well. Ant-Man and the Wasp infest theaters on July 6.
