The task of getting to the NBA Finals has gotten a little bit harder for the Miami Heat. For the foreseeable future it appears as if the Big Three are going to be down to the Big Two.
Chris Bosh went down late in the first half of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semi-finals contest with the Indiana Pacers. After making a slam dunk to pull the Heat within nine, 48-39, he fell to the court and stayed there.
It appeared as if he may have gotten his hand caught in the basket when he made the dunk causing it to bend in a way that hands are not meant to bend. The injury was later reported to be a lower abdominal strain. The severity of it is not yet known, but he could be out for as little as a week or as much as a couple months.
Bosh is another of many major players that have suffered injuries this post season including Derrick Rose, Dwight Howard, Joakim Noah, Jeremy Lin, Iman Shumpert and Baron Davis. Boston has been the only team to move on even though it had major players lose time to injuries (Ray Allen and Paul Pierce).
