FUNNY

Mission: Impossible—Fallout hits theaters this weekend and while star Tom Cruise gets the lion's share of attention, his British co-stars Henry Cavill and Simon Pegg get to have a little more fun in this new video from Vanity Fair. This dynamic duo may be on opposite sides of the fight in the film, but they're united in their love for British slang and want to help us ignorant Americans to navigate those murky waters.
Eddie Izzard fans will already be well versed in some of these like "dog's bollocks," but even the most knowledgable Anglophiles will find plenty of new slang words here to add to their extensive vocabularies. "Hard cheese" is a particular favorite of mine, though not its actual meaning, but rather in the film Pegg pitches with that title, starring Cavill as lactose-intolerant vegan police officer Dave Cheese.
Someone should just give these two a franchise of their own because they're surprisingly great together. I'd love for them to get around to making Hard Cheese one of these days. Maybe they could get Edgar Wright to direct it and, frankly, any excuse to get Cavill back in that mustache is one we all should take. Mission: Impossible—Fallout opens in theaters nationwide on Thursday night.
