CELEBRITY
Sam Robeson - April 11, 2018
Well this explains everything. The main side effect of Seroquel is weight gain. I honestly thought that we all knew Mariah Carey was clinically hilarious after she suffered her ice cream strip tease meltdown on TRL five-thousand-years ago. But apparently we all thought that was just a blip and that Carey's string of erratic behavior - including her 2017 New Year's Eve performance - was... due to a personality quirk? The writing's on the wall. She's insane. Again, if nothing else, the back rolls alone. While crashing the set of TRL in 2001, Carey even said:
You're my therapy session right now Carson. Because every now and then somebody needs a little therapy. And today's that moment for me.
Carey follows a proud lineage of Cymbalta cases to officially come out as crazy in People Magazine, and had this to say in the latest issue:
Until recently I lived in denial and isolation and in constant fear someone would expose me. It was too heavy a burden to carry and I simply couldn’t do that anymore. I sought and received treatment, I put positive people around me and I got back to doing what I love — writing songs and making music.
For a long time I thought I had a severe sleep disorder. But it wasn’t normal insomnia and I wasn’t lying awake counting sheep. I was working and working and working … I was irritable and in constant fear of letting people down. It turns out that I was experiencing a form of mania. Eventually I would just hit a wall. I guess my depressive episodes were characterized by having very low energy. I would feel so lonely and sad — even guilty that I wasn’t doing what I needed to be doing for my career.
Mariah adds that she was diagnosed as bipolar in 2011, but wouldn't have it, and initially didn't take her meds. But now she's dopped up and living her best life as a fading celebrity destined to be remembered more for her punchline antics than her vocal talent or looks. Glad you're better Mariah.
