TV & FILM
Michael Garcia - May 24, 2016
When I was a kid in the 80's I used to watch MacGyver with my grandfather. It was an awesome show from what I remember. MacGyver was a secret operative guy who would get sent in to places full of bad guys and he'd always end up saving the day by making a bomb out of chewing gum or common household products. Plus there was Richard Dean Anderson's awesome mullet. Because the film and television industry can't and won't allow new ideas to be made, they are rebooting the series. This time it will star Lucas Till of X-Men fame as the titular MacGyver. He's got long hair and looks like the member of a grunge band from the early 90's. Just like in the original series, Mac is a genius that can come up with amazing tricks to save his butt using only his Swiss army knife and what's around him.
This pisses me off, though. First of all, the chances of this sucking are pretty high. Secondly, why did it need to happen? Why can't we leave things from the past in the past and come up with new ideas? Ugh, I hate the industry.
