Like I mentioned the other day, Star Trek decided it can't be Star Trek without Klingons, and Star Wars seems to have decided it can't be Star Wars without Darth Vader. Many people who thought that the beleaguered Han Solo movie might be the first Star Wars movie without sight or mention of Vader have been proven wrong thanks to an interesting announcement that has paved the way for wild speculation.

As pointed out by Jedi News, actor Spencer Wilding—who donned the Vader costume in Rogue One—was scheduled to appear at this weekend's Fandom Fest in Kentucky when festival organizers announced the cancellation of his appearance with the following message on their website...

Spencer Wilding will be unable to attend as he will be filming the newest film in the Star Wars Universe. Spencer will be coming back next year.

As the Han Solo movie is the only film in the Star Wars Universe currently filming, most people jumped to the conclusion that Vader was going to appear in the film.

However, a wrench was thrown into those speculations when Wilding himself provided a typo-ridden denial on Facebook, stating categorically that he was not going to appear in the Han Solo film as Vader. I'll spare you the whole thing and just put two of the more relevant sentences down here for you to decipher...

so just to let u all no I am 100% not filming on starwars... the comic con promoters of the show put 1on1 together and got 69 lol and they just try to guess y I canceled and came up with that

Now, the conspiracy theorist in me immediately thinks that Lucasfilm got to this bohunk and told him to deny the rumors up and down lest he risk killing his cash cow. The conspiracy theorist in me also thinks that maybe he could be playing someone other than Vader, but come on. Did you guys actually think there was gonna be a Star Wars movie without Darth Vader in it in some way, shape, or form? Of course not.

We'll keep you posted on the latest info as it comes in, but how do you guys think they're gonna shoehorn Vader into the film? Let us know in the comments section below.
