Did you know that Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester used to be in the cult hit Veronica Mars? Well she was—for two whole episodes in Season One. And those two episodes back in the spring of 2005 were enough to make show creator Rob Thomas put her in the new Veronica Mars movie that's finally happening. You know, because her character was so pivotal and Leighton is so talented and, more importantly, so extremely attractive.

This makes you happy. I understand. Unfortunately, it's not all good news. You see, it turns out that Leighton will be unable to reprise her role as Carrie Bishop for the film because she's washing her hair that day, or something like that. I don't know. Point is, she can't make it work, and so she is being replaced by this hipster:

That's Andrea Estella. She's the lead singer of indie pop band Twin Sister, she's never been in a movie before, and now she's taking over for Leighton Meester.

Obviously, Andrea has some big (sexy) shoes to fill. Best of luck with that.
