LEGO comes in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes. But here's one LEGO block that you won't find anywhere else: a vintage gold LEGO brick with a history that's almost as rich as the person who'll eventually come to own it.
The block forged from 25.65g of 14-karat gold is actually a really rare piece since it was part of a collection that was given out in limited quantities back in 1979 to 1981. They were actually given away as gifts to partners and employees of LEGO's Germany-based factory.
They're so rare that a block can fetch up to $14,449.99. At least, that was the going price of the latest block that got sold on BrickEnvy recently.
Obviously it's not a block that's meant to be played with. If you're a serious LEGO collector, then this piece is a definite must-have. If you can cough up the cash to get it, that is.
