LeBron James is fully aware that if his team fails the scrutiny is going to fall completely on him. It happened last year; after every loss this year in the post season it started up again. Facing elimination in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals Thursday night he knew he needed to have a special game to keep the vultures off his back for just a little bit longer.
Lucky for him he had that special game. James scored 45 points, pulled down 15 rebounds, and dished out five assists to lead the Heat to a 98-79 win over the Boston Celtics to force a Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals.
He did have a little help. Dwyane Wade added 17, Mario Chalmers had 9, and Shane Battier 8; the bench combined for 13 points (7 by Chris Bosh). So when you watch the highlight video and wonder why its all LeBron, all the time, well--it's because no one else really did anything.
