‘Lawless’ Red-Band Trailer Is Immense! Here Are 5 Other Great R-Rated Promos

Lawless is shaping up to be quite the treat. Starring the likes of Tom Hardy, Shia Labeouf, Jessica Chastain, Gary Oldman and Mia Wasikowska, and also set during the always cinematic Prohibition era, it's directed by The Road'sJohn Hillcoat and written by the world's coolest musician, Nick Cave. Labeouf and Hardy star as the infamous Bondurant brothers of Virginia, who bootlegged booze across the state for years during the mid-20s, whilst Guy Pearce's policeman is the man looking to catch them.

An now that we have set our sights on the movie's red-band trailer we can easily say that our excitement levels for the movie have risen at least another 30 or 40%, with violence, sex and torture looking set to dominate proceedings.

Matthew Vaughn's tale of an ordinary teenager's quest to become a real-life superhero was illuminated by the presence of a foul-mouth 11 year-old vigilante called Hit-Girl who doesn't mind murdering people who get in her way. The red-band trailer introduced us to her and immediately people were entranced.

A foul-mouthed teddy bear is a pretty hard creation to picture. So the first clips of Seth MacFarlane's 2012 comedy were always going to be important and as soon as they hit the internet the world simply fell in love with the adorable cretin.

Your Highness


A terrible, terrible movie that was only made watchable by a glimpse of Natalie Portman's ass, which suddenly made it the film of the decade.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo


This visually stunning trailer has Karen O's rendition of Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song dictating the images. Plus it shows Rooney Mara acting like a gothic tramp which is always good to see.

Piranha 3D


Another horrible film that has a great trailer, simply shows hoards of beautiful women dancing provocatively on various yachts with very little clothing on and then getting eaten by peckish piranhas soon after.
