For the first two games of the Stanley Cup Finals, fans got everything they could hope for from two teams battling it out for supremacy of the league. The games were well played, close in score, and down to the wire; beyond the wire really since they went into overtime. It appeared that the winner of these Finals was going to have to fight tooth and nail.
And there there was Game 3.
Either the New Jersey Devils forgot to show up or the Los Angeles Kings are the best number 8 seed ever. The two teams skated to a scoreless tie after one period, but that was as close as the game would be. The Kings scored two in each of the final periods to win easily, 4-0.
They will get the chance to be the first number 8 seed to win Lord Stanley's Cup, and the first in franchise history, when they play Game Four in LA on Wednesday at 8 PM ET.
