The EDM scene complained when Avicii decided to let Country music acoustic slip into his Ultra Music Festival set and other places like his Wake Me Up single. Now Avicii won’t wake up permanently most likely due to the accusations of being a sell out and the constant pressure to perform under the spotlight. He’s a down the road kind of guy instead of being across the street when it comes to slitting his wrists with the precision of a surgeon who was a samurai in a past life. He was 28 when he passed away. Which is a weird age to die if you’re not terminally ill. It would have been understandable if the cause of death was from overdose. LSD and Ecstasy is only an arm’s reach away when you’re living an electronic party animal lifestyle. What have we become as a society when we’re booing introverted EDM DJs to the point where taking their own life seems better than taking the stage.

The Swedish musician, born Tom Bergling, previously warned that he was "going to die" in a documentary released months before he was found dead in a hotel room in the Middle Eastern country of Oman on April 20.

TMZ released graphic details compiled from multiple sources:

Our sources say the method of death was a shard of glass that caused massive bleeding. Two sources tell us Avicii broke a bottle and used the glass to inflict the fatal wound. One of the sources says it was a wine bottle. Two sources tell us the point of injury was Avicii's neck but another strongly denies that, saying it was his wrist.

$72 million dollars is an unholy amount of money to amass at age 28 all just to play homemade Dj Pro program instrumentals from your MacBook. You can buy your own island with no wifi. No wifi means avoiding all of the articles and shit-post opinions about your untimely departure from EDM. If Dave Chapelle can go to Africa at the height of conquering comedy in America I don’t see why Avicii can’t self-exile his way to Sweden. Being in Sweden sure beats suicide, for now.
