After Saturday's win over the hated Louisville Cardinals the Wildcat faithful were understandably happy. There were likely thousands of Kentucky fans all over Bourbon Street and every other street in the Big Easy buying rounds for whoever said they loved the Wildcats. It was a great game; a big win for the program.
Makes sense right?
Well, what some of the other UK faithful opted to do in celebration did not make nearly as much sense. For some odd reason, after watching their boys beat down the Cardinals 69-61 they felt the need to burn things.
Why victory seems to be an excuse for mayhem these days is a complete mystery. My only guess in this case is that the students in question made a deal with a voodoo priestess and had to sacrifice a very valuable possession. For a college kid, what could be more valuable than a couch?
