Last time I checked, Confucius wasn't a fat mentally handicapped gay rapper, and yet people are still hanging on fat mentally handicapped gay rapper Kanye West's every word regarding topics as important as slavery and proper sandal sizing. This past May West famously stated on TMZ that slavery was a choice, which was good in that it meant white people were officially off the hook, but bad in that it trivialized centuries of suffering for millions of people.

Now West is clarifying his words, via an interview on a Chicago morning show, by stating that he shares a spirit (or something. Again, why are we bothering to dissect the words of a mentally disabled person? In my day we got extra credit for playing bingo with them after school) with Harriet Tubman and Nat Turner. Tubman can't catch a damn break. If all this means that West ate their spirits, then yes, I believe it.
