2015's Jurassic World may have made enough money to make Solomon blush, but it was a bad movie, full of all the worst impulses of a reboot. With its sequel, this past summer's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the franchise didn't just jump the shark, it gleefully veered into full-on stupid territory, and this latest Honest Trailer from Screen Junkies is as fed up with that move and this movie as the rest of us.
First things first, the film is gorgeous, the visual effects are amazing, and there are two legitimately suspenseful sequences in the film. Apart from that, everything else is trash. The characters are as unmemorable and bland as ever, none of their motivations make any sense, and worst of all, they wasted a Jeff Goldblum cameo.
Since this one raked in well over a billion dollars at the box office, we're guaranteed a third film, and JW director Colin Trevorrow—the man fired from directing Star Wars Episode IX—will be back at the helm. It'll likely be as dumb as these other two movies and make enough money to keep the franchise going until we're all dead in the ground. It's the American way.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is now available on DVD, Blu-ray, and VOD.
