It seemed like a strange notion at first to make more Jason Bourne movies, not only without Matt Damon, but without the actual character of Jason Bourne. Jeremy Renner now stars as Aaron Cross, another Treadstone operative from the Bourne Universe. But the more footage and trailers released of the film make it seem like, despite how ludicrous the idea was, the movie itself may very well kick some major ass.

In anticipation of next month's release, three new clips have been released. The first, seen above, is a comical scene between Renner and Rachel Weisz, ostensibly eluding whoever the villain of the film is and having some witty banter to pass the time.

And the two clips below give us a preview of the film's action-driven scenes. Universal releases The Bourne Legacy on August 3rd.
