Spider-Man doesn't really have the rogue's gallery of villains that Batman does. He's sort of stuck in that Superman box of being a cool superhero without a lot of great villains to choose from. Besides Doc Ok and Venom--who've already been used recently--other than the script to Spiderman 3, there's never been a great foe for Spidey to go against. But Jamie Foxx is hoping to change all that as he's officially been cast in Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as the electrified baddie Spidey must defeat.
According to Wikipedia, Electro's backstory is:
While Maxwell Dillon, an electrical engineer and lineman, was repairing a power line, a freak lightning accident caused a mutagenic change that transformed him into a living electrical capacitor.
Everyone loves a good electric villain as it makes for a good CGI light show. But is Electro the right villain for Spider-Man? Check out the gallery for the remaining Spider-Man villains worth adapting for the big screen.
