Jada Pinkett Smith has sat down with "the queen" Nicki Minaj to talk about basically everything for the latest issue of Interview magazine. The ladies talk about Nicki's move into motherhood and how now that she's a mom, Nicki can relive some of the nostalgia of being a baby.
"I see myself as a baby in my son and because of that, it reminds me of moments that I had probably forgotten over time, just of me being a toddler in Trinidad. First of all, being a mother is the biggest freaking blessing on planet earth. I’m so happy that god allowed me to experience this."
Nicki continues to talk about how becoming a mother has changed her artistic style and that she had to remember who she was and not just who people thought she was, saying she tapped back into her funny and goofy side to record her new hit Super Freaky Girl.
"so I still felt true to myself on “Super Freaky Girl.” As opposed to, a lot of people were sending me songs, Jada, a lot of female rappers, especially, and I didn’t want to be mean, but every other word was “pu*sy” and “fucking” and da da da, and I wasn’t there. I don’t think I can ever fully be there."
