Is ‘Overwatch’ Worth a Taco Bell Meal?

You might not quite know what the deal is with Overwatch. The hypetastic has been focused around Dark Souls 3, Uncharted 4 and other ball-busting big hitters like that. You could well be getting your Dark Souls on as we speak, inventing all-new swears as a boss grinds your scrote into spam, completely oblivious to any other releases that may be incoming. It happens.

Now that Souls have arrived at last, we can stop with all the teaser trailers, launch trailers, early streamed content and all of that BS. We can give a lil’ slice of the limelight to other games. Games like, as I say, Overwatch.

For the uninitiated, this is a squad-based FPS from Blizzard of World of Warcraft fame. Character classes work a lil’ like the legendary MMORPG, with tanks to take damage, assault troops to dish it out… you know how this stuff works. It’s also got some pretty funky inspired-by-real-world-locations maps going on.

Anywho, yep. The closed beta just ended last week, and now we’re looking towards the game proper. It drops May 24, for PS4, Xbox One and PC, and you can win yourself a free copy through a new Blizzard promo. If you’re up for some Taco Bell, that is.

Here’s GameSpot with the skinny:

‘The giveaway will see a digital copy of Overwatch: Origins Edition and an Overwatch-branded Razer headset given away every 10 minutes between now and May 18. You can enter by purchasing either a combo or a large drink at Taco Bell and then redeeming a code you receive. No matter how many codes you redeem, you're limited to one entry per day.’

In a week or two, there’ll be other ways to get yourself a code, including snail mail if you want a trip back to the dark ages. But for now? You’ll have to get your Taco Bell on. Who’s up for questionable tex mex?
