After much speculation, Apple finally unveiled the iPad Mini. And to be honest, it's been a long time coming. Their market share in tablets has dropped considerably since 2010 when Google and Samsung began releasing their 7-inch tablets that were considerably cheaper than the regular iPad.

In an attempt to get back into the game, Apple unveiled their 7.9-inch iPad Mini along with a bevy of iMacs, laptops, and an updated iPad. Here are the specs you need to know:

Screen size: 7.9 inches diagonally

Thickness: 7.2 millimeters

Screen resolution: 1024 by 768 pixels (No retina!)

Weight: 0.68 pounds

Cameras: 5-megapixel camera at the back and a low-resolution camera in front (Note that most of the other tablets don't have cameras!)

Battery life: 10 hours

Storage: 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB

Chip: Dual-core A5

Everything sounds good, until we get to the price. The 16GB, WiFi-only version starts at $329. That's over a hundred dollars more expensive than the Galaxy Nexus 7, for crying out loud. Judging from many people's initial reactions, it looks like the iPad Mini's price is the ultimate dealbreaker.
