Ah, Halloween. For candy-obsessed lil’ children, fans of all things gothtastic and slutty girls alike, this is the ultimate holiday.

Whichever of those camps people happen to fall into, there are a couple favorite costume options which will never go out of fashion. The good old standard Draculas, Frankensteins, hairy-moled witches and zombies will be out in force next Friday, natch. Then of course, there’s that popular choice of lazy-ass parents everywhere: putting a sheet over your son/daughter’s head and making them a ghost.

All of that said, though, you do see some pretty amazing things each year, some great concepts and original costumes. Movie characters are also a big deal; you lose count of the damn Heath Ledger Jokers and Harry Potter-themed getups you see roaming the streets.

As anyone who saw Suicide Squad will know, the Harley Quinn legions are going to be out in force this year in their booty shorts. But hey, that’s, like, so hipster, as they say in Mean Girls. So I’m here to tell you, Ego-friends, there’s only one costume to be seen in this Halloween. It is, of course, this hilariously craptastic Proto Man outfit.

Proto Man, fans will know, shows up all over the place in the Mega Man series. This enigmatic bastard is sometimes an enemy, sometimes a playable character, and always much more of a badass than the Blue Bomber himself. Fond as I am of the guy, though, I can’t imagine any series of circumstances that would result in me wearing this damn thing. Even if there was a Taken-style situation involving the kidnap of my wife going on. Liam Neeson wouldn’t wear this, and neither would I.

If you would, however (because we’re all friends here and nobody’s judging anyone else’s terrible life choices), check it out over at the aptly named halloweencostumes.co.uk.
