A new documentary about the life and times of legendary comedian Chris Farley will premiere on Spike August 10th and it looks like it is going to be a roller coaster ride of emotions. I am of the generation that came of age in the 90's that worshiped Chris Farley. As a funny fat guy myself, I always admired his manic work. Sadly, as we all know, Farley died of a drug overdose in 1997 at only 33 years old. I know that my friends and I enjoyed all his movies, even the ones that didn't do well at the box office. There was just something about Farley that made you want to watch him and his wacky antics. Comedy doesn't get much better than his famous motivational speaker character on SNL.
The doc features interviews with Adam Sandler, Molly Shannon, Dan Aykroyd, Mike Myers, Lorne Michaels, and David Spade. I admit that I got choked up a little when I watched this trailer. So much talent gone too soon.
