Tom Six is basically the Dutch version of Uwe Boll, trafficking in shock and exploiting tax loopholes to make movies with minuscule but ardent fan bases. Six's magnum opus to date was the Human Centipede trilogy, a torture porn triumvirate which folds in on itself with increasingly meta-sequels, but his latest, The Onania Club, may prove every bit as controversial as anything else he's done.
The film centers around a group of affluent women who literally get off on the suffering of others. The film's first teaser trailer, which you can see below, showed women in a living room pleasuring themselves to footage of 9/11. Are you shocked yet? The film's new trailer dropped late last week and shows the women traveling around the world to places where poverty and misery are the norm and, well, flicking their collective beans about it.
Six was a guest on Alec Baldwin's podcast earlier this year and it's a real hoot to listen to Baldwin fawn over this Dutch weirdo who sounds uncannily like Goldmember. Give it a listen, it's worth the ride. The Onania Club does not have a release date yet, but I imagine it will find its way online eventually. Don't hold your breath for a theatrical release though.
