Arby's is one of those places that is very polarizing. People either love it or hate it. On paper the idea of a roast beef sandwich sounds prety good and theoretically healthier than a fast food burger. I remember when I was in college I used to eat at Arby's all the time. I hated myself afterwards and spiraled into a pit of despair and angst that only more Arby's sauce could cure. That's why I think the Twitter account Nihilist_Arbys is so funny. I can really relate. Punk musician Brendan Kelly of The Lawrence Arms' is genius behind the account. He was challenged by the AV Club to an Arby's eating contest where they had to stuff a big beef and cheddar, a large curly fries, and a large jamocha shake down in record time. It is a feat of true bravery what these men did. I commend them but I don't envy their colons. I've eaten that combo before and it is not pretty.
Still, perhaps there is a hole in the soul of man that only Arby's can fill? I hate to think it's true but then I look at the world around me and I know it is true.
