Hot Damn, it’s a New Five Minute Trailer for December’s ‘Aquaman’ (VIDEO)

With New York Comic Con in full swing, we're getting the first of the big budget trailers to debut at this weekend's event and it's a five minute "Extended Look" at this December's Aquaman.

Jason Momoa plays the man who would be king of Atlantis as a beer swigging party bro who wouldn't be out of place in a team-up with the Ninja Turtles. His scream about something being "badass" that we heard in the first trailer is given context here and it's somehow even worse that he's screaming in a giant temple. I'm also glad he knows parkour. That's gonna make the action scenes a lot of fun.

Dolph Lundgren is looking sharp in that lumberjack beard. Some guys have a face that wasn't meant for facial hair. Dolph is one of them. Anyway, I don't mean to be all negative nelly on this one, but it just looks like the same movie we've all seen a thousand times before, except underwater. You need more than good special effects in this day and age, just look at how American audiences turned on the Transformers movies... eventually.

Aquaman sails into theaters on December 21 opposite Mary Poppins Returns, Holmes & Watson, and—speaking of Transformers—Bumblebee.
