The geniuses over at How It Should Have Ended have been giving famous films alternative animated endings (and beginnings and middles) for years now. It all started with Matrix Revolutions, and they've since skewered such films as The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Avatar, Terminator, and The Avengers, just to name a few. However, until now, they had never done perhaps the most derided nerd film of all-time: Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. You would have thought they'd have an absolute field day with that one.

However, when you really think about it, there's so much wrong with Phantom Menace that it would be pretty hard to fit it all into one three-minute clip. So maybe that's why it took them so long—after handing Jar Jar Binks a grizzly and unheroic death, they just couldn't agree on which aspects of the original they hated more.

Of course, why it took so long doesn't really matter. All that matters is that How the Phanton Menace Should Have Ended is here now, and it is fantastic.
