Heat Win Game Three to Pull Ahead 2-1 in Finals (VIDEO)

Fans continue to get what they had hoped for when the Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder earned the right to play in the NBA Finals—an awesome and exciting series.

Those that watched Game 3 on Sunday were not disappointed; maybe the Thunder fans were in the end since their team lost 95-81 and are now down 2-1 in the best of seven series (but it was still a great game).

Neither team was able to gain much of an advantage in the first half. Miami led after the first period, 26-21, but the Thunder was able to close the gap to 46-47 by the end of the half.

In the third it appeared as if Oklahoma City was going to make a move and take over the game. Derek Fisher made a three-pointer with 4:33 left in the period to give the Thunder a nine point lead, the largest of the game. However, it quickly disappeared and the Heat took a 69-67 lead into the final period.

The Thunder kept the game close in the final period. A jumper by Russell Westbrook with a minute and a half to go made the score 85-86, Heat. That would be the last shot the Thunder would make. Miami hit five free throws to end the game.

Free throws were the difference in the game. Oklahoma City actually made more shots than Miami (33 and 43 percent to 28 and 38 percent). Miami killed it from the free throw line making 89 percent of their shots (31-35) while the Thunder just made 15 of 24 from the line.

Oklahoma City will have its work cut out for it on Tuesday night (at 9 PM ET) when they try to even up the series.
