As Xbox-ers will know, Halo is right up there with the system's biggest exclusive franchises. The Gears of Wars and such of the world. Master Chief has become a kind of unofficial mascot for the system, albeit a miserable-ass helmeted one with all the charm and personality of a pube.
Said big exclusive franchises have been slow to hit Xbox One and PS4. So when they have arrived, they've had to stretch the bastards out, make them last as long as possible. Which means updates, DLC and all those sorts of shenanigans.
Halo 5: Guardians is all over that stuff. Fresh from that last light versus shadow business, it's bringing us another slice. The latest expansion is called Hammer Storm, and GameSpot have taken a quick ogle at what's to come before the official rundown on February 26.
There are two new armor sets coming our way, Marauder and Decimator, along with the Gravity Hammer. Some mystery new reqs will make an appearance too, as well as a fairly clichéd and space station-y new map dubbed Torque.
The biggest news? Probably the return of some old favorite game modes, including Grifball. More on this when 343 drop the Hammer Storm video broadcast next week.
