Halo 4 Tips New Forward Unto Dawn Trailer “Cryo” (VIDEO)

Right off the top, it's about time we got a pop culture (and make no mistake Halo is pop culture) discussion of the trappings of cryo sleep. It's been a staple of science fiction for years, this idea that you'd need to put humans into a deep extended sleep if we're actually going to fly to other planets because staying awake, eating food and amusing us would be far too costly and cumbersome with all the required extra gear and supplies. Yet, it's not until this teaser clip for Forward Unto Dawn --the live action series intended to whet the appetite for Halo 4 this fall-- that we get a character describing what a cold temperature forced hibernation would feel like to a real person. It would be cold as hell and none too pleasant, right? Right.

Point number two: that's the biggest freakin' dorm room I've ever seen two students share. Sure there's no furniture, but you could still throw a hell of a party in there with a marching band and everything. Forward Unto Dawn drops in October, while Halo 4 arrives in early November.
