CELEBRITIES
bill-swift - April 4, 2007
Let's all congratulate Halle Berry. She finally got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and all she had to do was be in some lame movie that needed extra publicity. Confused? Don't be. You see, all it takes to get a star on the Walk of Fame is Q-list celebrity status, and a film studio willing to pony up for the $25,000 price tag.
Surprise, surprise. The Hollywood Walk of Fame has become just another marketing gimmic to be milked by the studios. In fact, James Doohan, who played Scotty on Star Trek was the only actor from the original cast who didn't have a star. And he only recently received his because his fans were generous enough to donate the funds.
Halle Berry, on the other hand, was generous enough to get down on all fours and slather her star with hugs and kisses. Though, that's probably not much different from her casting session either.
There's lots more pictures of Halle Berry "earning" her star after the jump.
